Default Doxapolis brain storm and business Ideas
Just a place for people (mostly me probably) to ramble on about all the ways Doxapolis could be the best social/economic thing since beer.

Default the trouble with advertising advertising.
Ok here is what I am thinking. Google is always going off about how the best way to make $$$ is targeted advertising. (if you can get some one who wants something and give them an ad for it boom thats money). And we are always hearing how social networking sites like twitter etc can't figure out how to make a profit.

Well you guys at Doxapolis have figured it out! With my help of cores :P

but seriously if you were to say make a room app (essentially just a 3d virtual room) you could charge companies massive add revenue for allowing them to post their products in the game (thus making the consumers want the products) and right next to where you buy the products in Doxia (in what is now the google ads box) have a direct link to that product in RL. It's direct superb noninvasive targeted advertising!!!

anyway food for thought ...

It will be nice for users to be able to upload their own favorite products, and then get others to vote on how cool it is, or not...

but we have to make sure the same product is not inputed twice, and all the other problems with user generated content

Default I mean ya
products should be added by companies at a cost and must be approved by admin (to ensure the product is actually made by said company)

Now if we had a room graphic that we had to put all of our stuff in, this would have several benefits. It would force us to to have somewhat realistic rooms, as apposed to having 20+ beds. plus we could have votes on the coolest rooms and give out splendor to the winners.

Default Doxa companies
Doxa job system could use an overhaul, wages should be set by employers and shield/splendor based on employee exp. This would create true competition in the job seater, also job hrs should be based on game hrs maxing out at 80 meaning that if some one is on 1hr a week they should get paid and generate splendor/shield for only that 1hr, this would make players who spend more time on doxa more valuable and would greatly increase the rl profitability of the site.
